On this Memorial Day we honor and remember those men and women in the military who made the ultimate sacrifice and died in service to their country. It is a day to reflect and pay our respects to those that fell defending all that we hold dear, not only our rights but also the rights of others worldwide.
The soldiers, sailors, and airmen that gave their lives knew that by serving their country they ran mortal risk and we have a collective debt to them we can never pay back. However, we can take this day and recognize their contribution to the protection of our great country and its future.
We should also reflect and remember the family left behind of those that have fallen. Mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, sons and daughters, friends and co-workers who lost loved ones in defense of our country have also paid a steep price in the furtherance of our nation.
We honor those brave souls who gave everything to their country and will always keep them in our memory.
